Congratulations from the Bobst Center to Politics Department doctoral student Chantal Berman on receiving a National Science Foundation Political Science Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant, for her project, “Cross-National Research on Protest, Social Policy, and Political Regimes.”
From Chantal’s website:
“I’m a fifth year doctoral student in Princeton University’s department of Politics, where I research the contemporary politics of the Middle East & North Africa. My research is supported by the Social Science Research Council and the American Institute for Maghreb Studies.
My datasets include a survey of Tunisian protesters at competing pro- and anti-government rallies during the political crisis of 2013, an exit survey of Tunisian voters during the 2014 elections (collected with Liz Nugent and Sawti Sawt Chebab Tunis), and an event database of protests and sit-ins from 2005 – 2015 in Tunisia (ongoing). ”
