The Settlers, presented by the Alliance of Jewish Progressives

The Alliance of Jewish Progressives, with the support of The Center for Jewish Life, and the Mamdouha S. Bobst Center for Peace and Justice, presented a film screening of Sundance Film Festival choice “The Settlers” directed by Shimon Dotan. The Settlers is a movie about the history of Jewish settlers in the West Bank and their allies in Israel, America and Europe, as well as their continuing effect on the Middle East peace process. It seeks to ask questions about how two cultures can coexist and how religious ideology can impact political action.

The evening was introduced by Daniel Kurtzer, S. Daniel Abraham Professor in Middle Eastern Policy Studies and former United States Ambassador to Israel and to Egypt and a question and answer session followed.
